In accordance with NH RSA 153:5, The Mont Vernon Fire Department issues permits for the installation and operation of oil burning appliances. Any installation of an oil burning appliance whether it be a furnace, water heater, or other use, requires the completion of NH Department of Safety form DSFS 7, permit to install and operate oil burning equipment.

Appliances which burn gas (Propane or Natural Gas) do not need a permit.
