In accordance with state law, the Town of Mont Vernon does allow the use of fireworks when a permit has been issued. Any permit request must be approved by both the Police Chief and the Fire Chief. A permit may be obtained by first contacting the Mont Vernon Police Department. Once the requirements are met and the Police Chief has signed the permit contact the fire station to verify that any fire safety requirements have been met and to have the Fire Chief sign the permit.
